Welcome to Liminal Counselling! These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our services, including in-person and virtual appointments. By booking and attending a session with Liminal Counselling, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Services Offered

Liminal Counselling provides mental health counselling services both in-person and via virtual platforms. These services are intended to offer support and guidance for a variety of mental health concerns.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to receive counselling services from Liminal Counselling. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent to your participation in counselling sessions.

Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential. Information shared during sessions will not be disclosed without your explicit consent, except in circumstances required by law, such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there is a suspicion of abuse or neglect involving minors.

Booking & Appointments

  • In-Person Appointments: Sessions are conducted at [Insert Physical Address]. You are expected to arrive on time for your scheduled session.
  • Virtual Appointments: Sessions are conducted via [Insert Virtual Platform, e.g., Zoom]. You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a private space to participate in the session.
  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of [Insert Fee Amount].
  • No-Shows: If you do not attend your scheduled session without prior notice, you may be charged the full session fee.

Fees & Payments

  • Session Fees: Fees for counselling sessions will be communicated at the time of booking. Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed upon.

Limitations of Service

  • In-Person Services: Liminal Counselling is not responsible for any physical injuries that may occur on the premises. Please take care when entering and exiting the location.
  • Virtual Services: While we strive to provide a secure virtual environment, Liminal Counselling is not responsible for any breaches of privacy that may occur due to the use of third-party virtual platforms.

Termination of Services

You have the right to terminate counselling services at any time. Similarly, Liminal Counselling reserves the right to terminate services if it is determined that counselling is no longer appropriate or if these terms and conditions are not adhered to.

Emergency Situations

Liminal Counselling is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, please contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

Liminal Counselling reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will be effective immediately upon posting.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario and regulations set out by The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
