Hello! I’m Jocelyn.
I have a Master’s degree in counselling and over 10 years of therapeutic experience. I am a Basic EMDR Trained Therapist and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Throughout my career I have worked mainly with children, adolescents, women, and families, with a focus on complex trauma, high conflict divorce, interpersonal relationships, parent coaching, school issues, sexual identity, anxiety, and depression. I have also worked with couples hoping to improve their communication and relationship, as well as with individual adults.
For my coaching clients I use all of my therapy experience to help you determine what your life’s purpose is, how to unlock your potential, and how to achieve your goals. I am passionate about seeing clients change their limiting beliefs and focus their energy on what matters most so that they are able to realize the value they have to offer the world and not shrink back from their own greatness.
The difference between counselling and coaching is that Therapists are trained mental health professionals who require licensure and are regulated by a governing body. They are equipped to diagnose and treat mental health concerns and focus on emotional healing. Therapists are often only able to treat those who live within their governing jurisdiction. Life coaches do not require licensure and therefore have a bit more flexibility and freedom in how they support their clients. Coaches can work with clients globally, on an international scale. Coaching clients are assisted to live their best life, achieve their goals, focus in on a particular skill they wish to develop, and reach their full potential.
